Ignite your Freedom to be
2010 is half experienced, the environment needs us, the economy yearns, and we need perspective more than ever!
What’s your lifeline? Is it yoga? Or, perhaps the mountains? A bike ride? Or participating in a group race? What keeps you connected to that which really matters? Our breath, blood, bones and ability to move freely, openly, and with authentic expression is necessary. How do you honor your personal freedom in choosing to live?
As sisters, we’ve invested time, energy, money, creations and meditations to cultivate the relationship we have, and that which we hope to experience. There are moments of clarity, wisdom, struggle and conflict. This is true to most long term commitments- the peaks and valleys will expose themselves over time. And, the journey is so worth the adventure!
This Independence day, we honor the choice to make our reality the original stories of us; independently, jointly, and communally. This interconnectedness is a reflection within the macrocosm and the microcosm. Our oceans need our attention, as our air needs our exhale. The cycle of life is available to change in any given moment.
With 2010 half underway, we cherish our day to day, and continue co-creating time and space, as we wish them to be. Regardless of hurdles, hunches, or hard blows, we must stick together, and be the unity we wish to see in the world.
It is our deepest honor to be of service in the Movement-Healing Arts community. It is our honor to listen and obey Mother Nature.
“A generous heart, kind speech, and a life of service and compassion are the things which renew humanity.” -Buddha

Meet Kula Movement’s Substitute Teachers
Emily Laue
Emily was introduced to yoga at a local YMCA in 1998 when her mom first brought her to a class. Since then has she tried as many different styles of yoga that she could- learning something new from each. She found an amazing balance of breath, strength and core work while taking classes from a Forrest yoga teacher. Having a hard time slowing down in everyday life- this moving meditation was the best way to clear her mind and get in her body.
Wanting to share this invigorating practice with others she completed her yoga teacher training with Ana Forrest in Los Angeles in 2006. She sincerely believes that respecting and listening to your body is such an important practice to learn and loves to help others explore this through yoga.
Andi Pihl
Andi brings her passion for sharing the transformative benefits of yoga
to her classes. She seeks to open the depth of possibility in every
student, opening the heart and body to break away from what’s no
longer useful, and to be free to pursue the life you dream of.
She has practiced yoga since 1996 and in 2001 discovered Forrest Yoga, and experienced a path to deep healing, finding the true self, and nourishing the spirit. She completed the Forrest Yoga Foundational Training in 2006, and Forrest Yoga Continuing Education for Teachers in 2008.
Andi also completed Ironman Canada in 2009, enjoys rock climbing, studies meditation and enlightenment practices with WarriorSage, and is enrolled in the massage therapy program at Cortiva Institute.

“Today, like every other day, we wake up empty and frightened. Don’t open the door to the study and begin reading. Take down a musical instrument. Let the beauty we love be what we do. There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground.” -Rumi
