Yoga Sound Bath

Please join us for a special evening of restorative yoga, therapeutic sound, and energy healing.

Cosetta opens our session with song and prayer, guides a restorative asana sequence, and offers hand-on healing to each participant.

Daniella steers the journey through the vibrational resonance of crystal bowls, Planetary gong, and voice. The gentle yet powerful sounds lead to deep relaxation and promote cellular regeneration. We close with an extended sound bath savasana meditation.

Class begins situated in a circle around an altar, with Cosetta guiding participants through the beginnings of the ceremony. A sweaty celebration of loosely guided free-form movement follows. The room is candle lit and filled with music. All are welcome; no previous dance experience needed.

Classes integrate traditional yoga poses, breathing exercises, deep-relaxation, meditation techniques, and self-reflection. Students will gain a deeper understanding of the physical and philosophical aspects of yoga, presented and practiced at an age-appropriate level.

Kids Yoga Series
Ages 3-5: Thursdays, September 17–November 19, 3:30-4:15 p.m.
Ages 6-10: Thursdays, September 17–November 19, 4:30-5:15 p.m.

Tween Yoga Series
Ages 11-13: Tuesdays, September 15–November 17, 4:15-5:15 p.m.

Whittier Heights Family Festival Kid’s Yoga Class

Do you have kids and live in (or near) Seattle’s Whittier Heights neighborhood? We will be hosting a free outdoor kid’s yoga class during the Whittier Heights Family Festival on Saturday, August 8th!

The class will be led by two of Kula’s kid’s yoga instructors, Charlotte Light and Betsey Strater, and will take place immediately following the live kid’s band (approximately 12:15 pm). This is an informal 45-minute class suitable to all levels. Instruction will be geared toward kids in the 2-10 age range, but all are welcome to join.

Our 2-day Intro to Forrest Yoga series is ideal whether you’re new to yoga, rehabilitating an injury, or recommitting to your practice. Bring your injuries, ailments, questions, and inspirations, and we’ll share a practice in which you’ll explore yoga with modifications specific to your body, along with a deeper breath awareness. Class size is intentionally kept small so that each student is able to receive hands-on, catered instruction from Jill and Angela.

Specifically, in this series, we will:

  • Explore Forrest Yoga basic moves
  • Work with your personal injuries
  • Learn key poses for your body
  • Learn light anatomy
  • Deepen your breath practice
  • Practice relaxation and healing techniques
